Thermography is performed to add a degree of professionalism or elegance to business cards and invitations.
Thermography is performed by printing one or two ink colors on paper, spraying the surface with a polymer powder that sticks to the ink, vacuuming up the excess and then applying heat to the polymer powder to get them to expand and raise the ink.
Only one side of a substrate can be raised printed. Do not use fonts that are less than 6 pts which will have the potential to fill in and avoid thin strokes and large solid areas.
Smooth papers will respond better to thermography than textured papers.
The normal lead time for thermography is 5 business days.
